Become a Debutante at the Vienna Ball
You will be the highlight of the evening with a breath-taking entry and a magnificent display of group dances like Polka and Waltz.
With your smokings, tailcoats and white dresses you’ll stand out through the whole evening while you and your etheral performance will be admired by all guests.
What is a Debutante?
A debutante, (from French: débutante , „female beginner“), or deb in the historical sense is a young lady of aristocratic family background who has reached maturity and is presented to society at a formal „debut“.
Nowadays of course the intent of such presentation of young ladies shifted and the focus lies purely on the beauty of a grand ball entry ceremony and spectacular dances by the debutantes.
The entry of the debutantes and their first Waltz are one of the many highlights of a traditional Vienna Ball.
How to become a Debutante?
Making your debut and taking part at the enchanting Opening ceremony of the Vienna Ball.
Registration is now open, and we welcome all enthusiastic individuals. Please review the following requirements for debutantes:
- Age: Girls should be between 16 and 24 years old, while boys should be between 17 and 28 years old.
- Unmarried Status: Boys should not be married, and the same applies to girls.
- proficiency in the Waltz is desirable, however, dancers don’t need to be professionals.
Debutante Application
Essential Details: Before the ball there will be a rehearsal taking place on Friday, August 29. The rehearsal will be in English. The rehearsals will take two to three hours. Deadline for registration as a debutante is June 30.th, 2025.
To apply as a debutante, we kindly ask you to complete the casting form below. Please make sure not to forget to add a photo (full body portrait)
Admission Fee: Ladies € 100,- / Gents € 60,-
As a Debutante, you will have access to the buffet and drinks throughout the evening, and you’ll receive a diadem and a flower bouquet as a traditional gift called the „Damenspende“.
